Q21: Loving Andrew – Chapter 19

“Watching children leave the nest is difficult for any parent, but letting go of a child with a developmental disability is an especially traumatic experience because we feel so responsible for their well-being.” P. 213

Do you agree with this statement?

Andrew (as he wanted to be called) moved away from home and into what would now be considered a farm community.

Has your child left the nest? What concerns do you have?

Andrew made his feeling known when his parents informed him that they would be moving to California. Considering how well Andrew was doing at Lambs, do you think you would be able to leave him behind?
