Q19: Loving Andrew – Chapter 17

Andy attended summer camp for four weeks. Has your child spent that much time away from home?

How did you feel reading about the hanging “game?” What would you do if you found yourself in a similar situation?

Andy continued to assert his independence while on vacation:

“Andy replied indignantly, “I don’t want to come with you parents. I’m old enough to do what I want and choose my own friends. I’m nineteen and can drink a beer if I want to.”” P.188

Has your child made a similar declaration?

The story about Andy buying a wig is both funny and frightening. Has your son/daughter ever ventured out alone like Andy?  Does your child have an “obsession” with something or someone that might spark such an adventure?
