Beautifully written book for everyone to read not just those parents of a child with a disability - it would also help relatives and friends of a family going through this experience as well because it is totally written from the heart. As a mother of a child with a disability it perfectly encapsulates the range of emotions that can (not always) present at the birth and the following months sometimes years. Caroline's not frightened to admit her immediate concerns following her baby's birth birth and this honesty will help other parents who are or were perhaps feeling a bit guilty about how they themselves felt when their baby was born. The book doesn't actually mention the specific type of "label" so could help families either with a pre diagnosed or unexpected condition. Brilliant illustrations as well!
