Lindsay came to clean his house. That’s all. But somewhere between dusting and organizing his garage sale, Lindsay lost her heart...and her head. In those mistaken moments, she forgot to mention that she’s a mother. An only child, Tanner knows nothing about kids. This sweet small town romance is all about family choices and challenges.

Veteran Tanner Phelps has come home to purge his past by cleaning out the family home. Lindsay could mean a change in plan but can he take on a widow with two little girls? What can he possibly have to offer?

Then a little boy with Down syndrome shows up on his driveway. Tanner teaches Red how to play basketball. At first, they’re both clumsy. But the jaded vet learns he is more then enough, more then this town remembers. For now, he’s keeping his plans to himself.

Widowed young, Lindsay was disappointed in her first marriage. Tanner’s silence feels sadly familiar. Can Tanner and Lindsay move beyond the past and create a future together in Gull Harbor? A heartwarming novel about second chances.

A wonderful story written with lots of love and emotion, pulling me right into the middle of the story. I love Gull Harbor with relatable characters I've gotten to know and new ones being added so I feel like I'm going home. I couldn't put the book down and was sad when I got to the end because I wasn't ready to leave Gull Harbor and my book friends.

I enjoyed the instant attraction and chemistry between widow Lindsay and veteran Tanner and could understand her reluctance to tell him about her daughters Susan and Rebecca because he told her he didn't like kids. Then his interaction with Red, his young neighbor with Down syndrome was heartwarming and touching.

Ms. Lohr has given us another winner and the perfect read for vacation whether you're at the beach, poolside, in a mountain cabin, or at home. Fans of well-crafted contemporary romance with love Every Breath You Take, the sixth book in the Man from Yesterday series. I was fortunate to receive an advance reader copy of this book and this is my unbiased review. I liked it so much, I purchased a copy for my keeper library.

I have loved every book in this series, Lindsay and Tanner's first meeting is fun. These characters are believable and have great chemistry. They both think they are broken, but actually they have much to offer to each other and the world. Tanner's interactions with Red, a neighbor with Down Syndrome, is one of the book's high points. Will Lindsay and Tanner finally communicate and heal each other? This is a wonderful story about acceptance, love, trust, and second chances. I could not put it down.
