High school sweethearts, Laura and Mike Davis have one goal, and that is to keep their family together after an apocalypse.

Four families, a platoon of Marines and an underground group of revolutionaries make up the settlers who work at making a camp in the Arizona desert their home. But when the supply chain dwindles to nothing, they make the devastating decision to leave everything behind and move. The Canadian border is open to US Citizens for a short time, so they pack up what they are able to take and head north.

When they are less than a hundred miles away, the border closes. With Laura’s sister Jenna Hayward leading the group, they decide to take their chances and go back to Arizona, to the land their father owns. The only caveat? What happened to the camp in their absence?
